Tina Norris brings extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families to her role as the Family Engagement Specialist at PEATC. With a strong emphasis on supporting families of children with disabilities, she leads the family engagement initiative, dedicating herself to empowering families through education and advocacy. Tina is a highly regarded speaker and workshop facilitator, known for addressing topics such as family engagement, bullying prevention, self-care and wellness, puberty to adulthood, and sexual health and wellness for students with disabilities. She also served on the Office of Special Education Equity Parent Center Workgroup for two years.
As a parent who has personally navigated the complexities of the education systems, she is a firm believer in the critical role that family engagement plays in the success of all children. She takes a practical approach to her work, fostering collaborative relationships with schools, communities, and advocacy organizations to strengthen family engagement.
Tina is a Certified Bullying Prevention Specialist, a Certified Healing Centered Engagement Practitioner, and an ACT Raising Safe Kids Violence Prevention Facilitator. She is also an active member of the National Association for Family, School, Community Engagement, and the International Bullying Prevention Association.
